With the release of our first product, the FxP Toolbox™, Catalytic takes a giant step towards its DSP Exploration and Implementation environment. The FxP Toolbox combined with MATLAB™ enables DSP programmers and designers to explore the effects of various

fixed-point implementations in a rapid 50% prototyping environment. With the Toolbox, it is a simple matter to take a working double precision program and explore various fixed-point implementations, obtaining answers that are bitwise identical to those produced by DSPs. Avoid the schedule delays and frustration of having to restart a design from scratch because you find a problem at the final implementation (or later!). The FxP Toolbox is the first of many Catalytic products in the pipeline geared towards DSP development; check back often to see what pops out next.
